TEXEL
A tableware series created for Het Kookatelier Op Oost on the island of Texel, a green-starred restaurant with a sustainable Nordic cuisine. Plates inspired by the nearby Wadden dike are made from grey clay mixed with locally dug sea clay and sand, finished with a glaze of oyster shells and seaweed once dried in the farm’s old stable. Together they form a quiet homage to the island’s shore, where land, sea and plate gently flow into one another.
